Dar al-Kalima NGO for Arts and Culture (DAK NGO) [Lebanon] and Dar al-Kalima University/ CAFCAW in Bethlehem [Palestine] are jointly organizing a training workshop on “culture and digital transformation” at Kulturnest (Sin-el-Fil) on Saturday, September 30, 2023. This workshop follows the Dar al-Kalima University round-table on Culture, Religion, Higher Education, and Digital Transformation in SWANA held in Cyprus on June 9-10, 2023.
The workshop aims to acquaint participants with the primary challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to digital transformation in the cultural sector. Alongside fostering an understanding of the digital landscape, it also seeks to create a networking platform and facilitate future collaborations among attendees. Moreover, particular emphasis will be placed on capacity building, thus helping to empower participants with essential skills to embrace digital innovation and contribute actively to the cultural domain.
The workshop addresses 18 to 35-year-old emerging and/or established artists; designers; activists; art entrepreneurs; cultural practitioners; university students; school teachers in arts, cultural studies, cultural heritage, social studies, …; etc., interested in learning more about culture and digital transformation, in capacity building, and networking.
Languages: Lebanese/Arabic and English.
Format: In-person participation.
Structure: The one-day workshop will include an introduction, three sessions with trainers, and a conclusion.

Venue: KULTURNEST, Sin-el-Fil roundabout, Lebanon.

Kindly note that the number of participants is limited, participation is free of charge, and organizers will cover the following workshop-related expenses: two coffee breaks and lunch.
